Artist Commentary: **This painting is professionally framed in a 2" warm silver frame with conservation glass and backing** Herb, weed or flower? Queen Anne’s Lace, often called wild carrot, is actually all three! The root is edible and has been used for medicinal purposes for years. In some states, however it is banned because of its’ invasive properties and is considered a problematic weed. In other states it is grown in flowerbeds and considered a flower. Regardless, I think it’s gorgeous and love how it dances in the wind.

Artist Commentary: Have you ever climbed up a sand dune to be rewarded by a brilliant sunset? It's the type of scene that takes my breath away and makes the climb up the dune worth it. This painting was inspired by a scene I discovered on a late afternoon hike along the Northern California coast. After taking many photos, this photo reference immediately went in my 'to paint' folder. I couldn't wait to get my canvas on the easel!
