Anatomy in Art - Provocative portraits, anatomical studies, and moody vignettes make up Anatomy in Art, a collection of prints based on various mediums. “From raw to refined, these pieces pay homage to the endless inspiration provided by the human form,” David says. “People will always be interesting—and beautiful.”
Renaissance studies - the epicenter of the renaissance: Florence in the 1500s, informs this collection of decorative and architectural sketches. “Exciting discoveries in science alongside a collective, unabashed pursuit of beauty define this period,” David says: “These images celebrate the innovators and artists of that incredible moment in history.”
Landscapes & seascapes - “nature is a constant, abundant source of inspiration”, David says. “I wanted to curate a group of Plein air paintings inspired by some of my favorite turn-of-the-century artists like Rigaud in France, trailblazing anna althea hills in Pennsylvania, and guy rose and William went in magical California”. The spirited, colorful collection explores terrain from mountaintops to the coast, as seen through adoring artists’ eyes.

Chelsea Art Studio
The artist, David Brown, studied and received his fine arts training at California State University of Long Beach and graduated with a BFA in Drawing and Painting in 2018. As a child, he watched his older brother draw and recalls wanting to draw just like him when he grew up. David currently lives in Long Beach, California, and has been lucky to show his work in multiple group shows and a few solo shows, mostly based in the Los Angeles area. His traditional work includes oil, charcoal, and graphite. He is strongly influenced by Renaissance, Baroque, and a lot of today’s contemporary work. David’s work is predominately focused on the human figure. “People are my inspiration. I love learning people’s stories and try to capture the sitter’s narrative through my drawings/ paintings …I love drawing people from life, I feel that my work focuses on the relationship between artist and model”. His art is his one true passion and he believes that, “artists are super sensitive and emotional human beings, our work is a physical representation of our thoughts and emotions, a diary that we choose to share with the world”.
