Kevin O'Brien Studio
Prospect Park, in the heart of Brooklyn, is both historic and vibrantly up-to-date. This pattern designed in Brooklyn by Kevin as part of a pattern reproduction project for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Tiffany exhibit follows that example. This design began in Kevin’s sketchbook, was printed on silk velvet, then hand-painted in small batches by artisans. Dye is applied by hand in layers on the velvet fiber surface.

The small-scale medallions repeated across the fabric are influenced by the Moroccan tile work often seen in the homes of North Africa. Painted in our bright bohemian colors, the tiles warm and brighten any space, just like the Moroccan sun. This design began in Kevin’s sketchbook, was printed on silk velvet, then hand-painted in small batches by artisans in Philadelphia. Dye is applied by hand in layers on the velvet fiber surface. Variations in color are part of the nature of our unique dyeing process. Zip closure; comes with a feather/down insert.
Just as described, and well worth it! However, I have also order several other pillows from Perigold, but they never arrived, and I have heard nothing about them. I don't know whether I should purchase other pillows (because I do need them) or keep waiting (and waiting and waiting!).
