Cast from solid orange acrylic, this side table emits an amber hue and radiates personality. An art piece you can also rest a drink on. Our Giuliette Table starts its journey in our Soho pottery studio, where Jonathan and his team hand-sculpt each model. The piece is then cast in acrylic and polished to perfection.

An extraordinary example of magnificent sculpting, this piece crafted in the Megulet style signifies a profound technical and spiritual undertaking. The trancelike yogi bows his body and presses his head against open palms, rocking back and forth on folded legs. The muscles and tendons of his arms and legs are stretched tautly as he prays with unrelenting fervor. The piece emits a powerful aura of piety, of religious asceticism, and of self-denial. Yogis is holy men and great mystics, many of whom also possess the gift of prophecy. They are beloved figures in the countryside, and villagers will feed and care for the yogis as they roam from region to region, searching for perfect purity and knowledge through meditation, ecstatic trances and frightening self-mortification. A gripping piece in local suar wood, the figurine is redolent of Eastern mysticism and stark simplicity used to induce contemplation and reflection.
A hollow tambora drum takes the shape of a man, eloquently carved from sese wood by Salihu Ibrahim. "This drum is used by the Dan tribe from Liberia," he says. It can be played from the small space where the sticks are placed or from the big space in front, each creating a different sound. This is not an ordinary drum. It is played only when warriors are about to dance during harvest festivals to show off their powers, because when this drum is played, a special spirit possesses them that enables them to win their battles." Applications of white clay give the piece an antique appearance.
Artisan Evelyn Kafui Ahianyo in Ghana presents this joyous figurine, hand carved from sese wood. The piece depicts a mother and child reveling in each others' company. Their arms form an unbreakable circle of love and affirmation. The artisan applies clay at the base for a textural accent. The artisan names the figurine Dada Kli Vi, which means "mother and child" in the dialect spoken by the Anlo tribe in the Volta region of Ghana.
