Hermes was cunning and clever and had the gift of oratory, which is why the gods chose him to be their herald, as he was able to convey their message with eloquence and charm. This god from Mount Olympus is usually depicted with wings on his heels because he has to travel quickly to deliver Zeus's orders wherever he is called. In this new edition, the wings are decorated with golden luster. Hermes is the latest addition to the Myths collection and like the rest of the pieces, it is made in matte white porcelain to enhance the realism, the wealth of details, and the sculptural work in the execution.
Eichholtz USA
The Met x Eichholtz presents the Bust Hermes, inspired by the Roman copy (1st–2nd century CE) of a Greek marble herm (ca. 450–425 BCE)—a bust or head, often depicting the messenger god Hermes, rested on top of a stone pillar. Featuring a marble finish and black granite base, our interpretation celebrates the grandeur of ancient Greek and Roman sculpture. Elevate your decor with this timeless blend of historical charm and modern elegance. Historic provenance: Inspired by the Roman copy (1st–2nd century CE) of a Greek marble herm from 450–425 BCE, the Bust Hermes reflects the serene grandeur of classical portraits. Hermes, the messenger god, was associated with boundaries and was often depicted near doorways and along the roadside, symbolizing protection. This piece echoes the timeless elegance of the original likeness at The Met.
Maitland-Smith
This distinctive figurine is where elegance meets whimsy. Made from cast brass and finished in a sumptuous Victoria Brulee, it depicts a lady gracefully walking an alligator. The attention to detail—from the lady’s flowing dress to the alligator’s textured surface—adds depth and interest to your decor.
Update: I changed this review to one star. Maitland Smith apparently won’t provide the label of authenticity, and Perigold cs doesn’t seem bothered. If you’re a MS collector, beware. The figurine itself is lovely. However, it came without the signature Maitland Smith label of authenticity. I've tried to reach out to Perigold to ask about this but there's been no response. I even tried to contact Maitland Smith before leaving this bad review, but I can't get through to them.. Liz. Hilton Head Island, SC. 2025-02-05 10:14:08

The crocodile, from the Greek Kroko - deilos meaning stone man, has been worshipped since ancient times by different civilizations and cultures. Inhabitants of our planet for over 50 million years, these prehistoric predators represent a profound long-lasting connection with Mother Nature. Their ability to live on land and in water, their sharp vision and hearing, and their energy, means that they are symbols of protection and also of equilibrium and analysis. This magnificent example in white glazed porcelain is decorated with copper luster and measures over fifty centimeters long. A truly impressive work is sure to capture all eyes.

Shrinathji is a manifestation of Krishna, one of India's most venerated deities, incarnated in a seven-year-old boy. Shrinathji is a grace-filled divinity, the balanced abode of contradictions. He is a child, yet he supports the world. He is both pond and lotus, he is all things at once. Exquisitely faithful to traditional iconography, this majestic depiction in porcelain stands out for its sumptuous decoration and also for the dazzling ornamental wealth of a god who represents pure bliss. A wide range of finishes were used in making this impressive sculpture, including the combination of matte and glazed porcelain with enamels, and different coatings of golden luster and metallic tones. The intense saffron color of the clothing symbolizes happiness and success. In addition, it is richly decorated with jewelry hand-painted in bright greens and blues, and with a splendid garland of white flowers, modeled petal by petal by Lladro artists.
Nambé
Never too strong or too bland, our Nambé Chile always adds just the right amount of zest to a sunny kitchen windowsill or desktop pile of papers. As Chile aficionados know, New Mexico is famous for its red and green peppers, so it seems only fitting that another New Mexico institution, Nambé, should produce its own variety. Ours is realistically sand-cast of our own metal alloy and hand-polished to a sizzling sheen. Just to toot our own horn a bit, we emblazon our name on the tip. Give the pepper person in your life extra spice with this 6-inch beauty, and keep one for yourself. It just might be the beginning of a beautiful gastronomic friendship.
