Shrinathji is a manifestation of Krishna, one of India's most venerated deities, incarnated in a seven-year-old boy. Shrinathji is a grace-filled divinity, the balanced abode of contradictions. He is a child, yet he supports the world. He is both pond and lotus, he is all things at once. Exquisitely faithful to traditional iconography, this majestic depiction in porcelain stands out for its sumptuous decoration and also for the dazzling ornamental wealth of a god who represents pure bliss. A wide range of finishes were used in making this impressive sculpture, including the combination of matte and glazed porcelain with enamels, and different coatings of golden luster and metallic tones. The intense saffron color of the clothing symbolizes happiness and success. In addition, it is richly decorated with jewelry hand-painted in bright greens and blues, and with a splendid garland of white flowers, modeled petal by petal by Lladro artists.
Two beautiful young women are rushing headlong into the night with their evening dresses billowing voluptuously around them. It is the coloring of the dresses that tells us where the two mysterious ladies are headed. As they advance the blue turns darker, so much so that in the end it is almost black.

In designing this traditional spirit house, Thai artisan Jaifah Aksornsri draws inspiration from the architectural styles of temples from the ancient Lanna kingdom. It is customary for people in Thailand to build a san phra poom, or "guardian spirit house" when they finish building their own house. A Buddhis ceremony takes place, inviting a protective spirit to live inside the small house. These spirit houses are believed to bring luck, happiness, success, and security to those within the home. Handcrafted from wood, red stairs lead to a spirit house that is given a bronze-tone finish with colorful mirrored glass accents.

Adorned with cheerful artistry, this purple and pink snail makes its way from the magical lands of Oaxaca. "The snail symbolizes life that starts and ends in a spiral," believe Zeny and Reyna. After carving the copal wood alebrije, they use the tip of a maguey leaf to paint the florid patterns.
For a whimsical take on the Loro Blonyo tradition, Javanese artisan Ariska creates this pair of figurines. Wearing traditional clothing and playing gamelan instruments, this adorable wedded couple is crafted from ceramic and painted by hand with shiny glazes. Loro Blonyo represents the inseparable union between husband and wife.
This marvelous quetzal is the original creation of Mexico's Gerardo and Teresa Ojeda. They carve the bird and its long feathers by hand from copal wood and paint them in meticulous detail. The Oaxacan folk art form dates back to the 1930s. A Mexican artist named Pedro Linares had dreams while ill, in which fantastical creatures rushed towards him shouting the nonsense word, "alebrije! alebrije!". When he woke from his fevered sleep, he was compelled to recreate the unusual creatures that he had seen in his dream.
This impressive white tiger is part of the Spiritual Creatures collection, inspired by the principles of Feng Shui. According to this ancient philosophy, there are a number of symbolic animals that reflect certain favorable characteristics for a natural space, namely the tiger, the phoenix, the dragon, the turtle, and the snake. The White Tiger represents the strength, impetus, and boldness, qualities that have been gathered in this limited series that go beyond the realistic representation to rise to a level where mythology and ancestral tradition go hand in hand. In the decoration of this exceptional piece the original treatment of the skin of the tiger stands out, which contrasts with the chromatic intensity of the rock on which it rests. The pedestal, with its straight lines and very original design, helps to highlight the strength of the whole piece.
