Michael Aram's limited edition sculptures are handmade artistic explorations inspired by objects and ideas that capture Michael's imagination. Each signed and numbered sculpture is limited to 500 editions, each individually crafted so that no two pieces are ever exactly alike. "The Feather Sculpture is inspired by my fantasy of walking through the forest only to discover a large feather in the path. I imagine it glistening, wildly articulated, and full of movement. I love making objects that appear as though they are out of a dream - things you might find in a fantasy garden, or intermingled with actual pieces from nature to create an almost surreal landscape. This feather is a faithful yet exaggerated expression of the real thing."

Juju hats originate from the Bamileke people near Cameroon in West Africa. Traditionally worn by village chiefs during important ceremonies, the hat color and size project status and wealth. Each hat is constructed entirely by hand from natural or dyed bird feathers which are carefully hand sewn onto a raffia base using traditional methods. The raffia sticks are arranged into a circle, which expands outward when opened. These sought-after hats are available in various colors. Our 20" diameter hat is presented on a metal display stand for maximum exposure and versatility.
