Two orthoceras fossils were found in a sea-bed matrix. Orthoceras ("straight horn") had a slender, elongated shell, with the middle of the body chamber transversely constricted, and a subcentral orthochoanitic siphuncle. The surface is ornamented by a network of fine lirae. 250 to 750 million years ago, the orthoceras mollusk lived in abundance during the Paleozoic Era. Orthoceras is a member of the class Cephalopoda and is closely related to the extinct giant Cephalopod and present-day chambered nautilus.
Juju hats originate from the Bamileke people near Cameroon in West Africa. Traditionally worn by village chiefs during important ceremonies, the hat color and size project status and wealth. Each hat is constructed entirely by hand from natural or dyed bird feathers which are carefully hand sewn onto a raffia base using traditional methods. The raffia sticks are arranged into a circle, which expands outward when opened. These sought-after hats are available in various colors. Our 20" diameter hat is presented on a metal display stand for maximum exposure and versatility.

The Wes Marble Disc is a textural marvel. The pitting and mottling of the natural stone make the tan sculpture feel like a fossilized artifact, while the simplicity of the black metal base furthers the feel that this stone disc is museum-worthy. Because the personality of each slice of stone varies, each of these decorative accessories will be unique.
