The Lladró brothers Juan, José, and Vicente presented the original pieces as a gift to Pope Paul VI when they visited the Vatican in 1969. Soon afterward, a man stepped on the moon for the first time and the pope, in turn, gave a king to each one of the three astronauts from Apollo 11 and spoke to them about the mission in which another three men were guided by a star to take a message to the entire humanity.
