Poised on a shiny nickel base, the Druggist eye object is a surreal addition to your table, shelf, or mantel. Try a duo on the same shelf or dot several throughout a wall of shelves–guaranteed second glances. Or expand your horizons and style it with our Druggist pottery.
LIULI Crystal Art
The autumn flower of Chinese literature’s classic “Four Gentlemen” ever bittersweet and melancholy, is the chrysanthemum. It blossoms in the fall, blooming when all other flowers wither. This piece comes from Loretta H. Yang’s acclaimed series “Proof of Awareness”, a series that expresses through the zenith of a flower’s beauty, the fragile and fleeting nature of life. Yang’s philosophies draw from Far East philosophies and Buddhist teachings. And the artwork that emerges is deep wisdom on transience and appreciation for beauty. This collector’s edition of the original “Chrysanthemum Dance” was created by the studio in highly limited quantities.
Not only does the golden apple symbolize peace and fortune, it represents spiritual fulfillment. Baby Peace is inspired by Shancai, one of the two children at Guanyin's side. Bright and alert, Baby Peace is a happy child enveloped in fortune and compassion. On the other hand, the golden persimmon represents the state of ruyi, when all is as you wish. Baby Ruyi is inspired by Longnu. Intelligent and wise. Baby Ruyi holds in her hands a persimmon, a symbol of great auspiciousness.---------------------Founded in 1987 by studio glass artists Loretta H. Yang and Chang Yi, LIULI has grown from a modest workshop in Taiwan to Asia’s leading crystal art brand. Liuli is the phonetic spelling of the Han Dynasty term for glass art and is used to honor the Chinese heritage and culture. Records show that thousands of years ago, the Chinese were highly skilled in pâte de verre a.k.a lost wax casting but the craft was subsequently forgotten. Yang and Chang revived the craft and reintroduced it into the international arena.Today, LIULI has 41 galleries worldwide, and Loretta’s and Chang Yi’s artworks are collected at more than 35 museums around the world. These include the Victoria and Albert museum in London, the Corning Museum of Glass in New York, The National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington D.C., and the Bowers Museum in Orange County. LIULI has received multiple awards, some of which are iF Design and German Red Dot.---------------------Lawrence & Scott is an authorized LIULI Crystal Art showroom. We do not accept offers for LIULI Crystal Art pieces.

Unique and bold! Just like some of her predecessors – such as Matisse and Picasso – Ulrica loved to draw and paint on everything that came into her path. These blocks of glass were leftover and discarded scraps from the studio. But in Ulrica's eyes, they were promising found objects that she wanted to decorate and use to make art. These colorful painted blocks immediately became favorites among collectors of her work. Now we have picked up the thread and with the assistance of our skilled decorative painters, we have recreated a new series in a smaller format in her memory. "I paint the whole world" could have been the motto for all of Ulrica's creations. Here at Kosta Boda, we think the glass blocks are among the most personal and bold pieces she gave us for safekeeping.
This crystal glass art figure, titled “Darling,” is an artwork of the rabbit zodiac—in the Chinese astrology calendar the sign that immediately follows the ferocious tiger. Meek and tame, the rabbit often surprises in its elegance. For hundreds of years, the rabbit has represented hope a divine nobility to the Chinese people. Adorable and almost comical, the zodiac art piece is adorned with traditional Chinese paper-cutting artwork patterns. Each art piece is uniquely handcrafted, varying most with color and playing with light on any tabletop. Well suited for birthday occasions or simply celebrating someone’s birth year, the message the zodiac artwork sends is as sincere and as transparent as the glasswork itself.
