Ann-Sofi Romme Annual Christmas Bird 2024 Small Clear

$27

Year after year, Holmegaard's glass decorations create new memories through reflections in glass. Holmegaard's annual Christmas Bell, Heart and Star of mouth-blown glass have become regular collectors' items in some homes. Behind the elegant pendant is Danish designer Ann-Sofi Romme, who created the first Holmegaard Christmas Bell with motif in 1993. Since then, it has become an entire collection of bells, hearts, stars and baubles in mouth-blown glass, each year with a new, beautiful Christmas motif. The 2024 collection has the braided paper star as the focal point for Christmas coziness—and now a little new bird is also chirping along. The Christmas bird is 2.8" tall and 5.5" long when the tail feather is included. The colors are kept classic in red and gold with a metallic finish, and the small red hearts create a cozy atmosphere for the hearts' own feast. The graphic decoration is fully in line with both Christmas traditions and the current color trend with matching red silk strings. Designers' ideas often originate from their own experiences, which is why Ann-Sofi Romme has long thought about drawing her own glass bird for the series. She has always loved the old-fashioned glass birds with clips and colored feathers in the tail. For her new bird, Ann-Sofi Romme has just found inspiration in the old tradition of putting some pieces on her Christmas tree, As there is no Christmas tree without glass birds, Just like the old days! In addition to serving as a classic decoration, a bird in the Christmas tree will also symbolize freedom, nature and the divine. You can also choose to let it fly down from the tree and land on a couple of natural branches, in a window, or wherever a beautiful bird with a small gold heart is lacking.
