I was pleased that I was able to cut off the cord and use the remaining wire to connect this to the set-up for my previous address sign (one answered question, that I saw after ordering, implied that it couldn't). The sign initially looked great, but after only weeks, the black color along the top has turned to bronze. I realize that the sun has caused this, but it is problematic to have an address sign, especially one so expensive, that cannot be in the sun...
