Cats have a bit of trouble realizing that it’s for them, but looks more adult that a normal cat post. Apparently there is a more weighted base available, but my tubby kitty (13 lbs) is fine with the one it came with. Easy to put together, goes well in my space.

I bought this scratching post for our living room because it is attractive in a modern, Dune sort of way. But it might as well be a sculpture. Our kitties won't go near it. We've sprayed catnip on it several times, to no avail. Maybe we just have weird cats, but for the price, just go buy some real art and get a sisal cat scratcher for your cat.

This is a handsome cat scratching post, disguised as a piece of sculpture! Our cat Walter didn't show any interest for several weeks, at least, but I thought it was so cool looking I decided to keep it. And sure enough, now he uses it quite a bit. It sits between 2 Wayfair lounge chairs, and nearly our Wayfair coffee table!

Works great kitty loves it wish the base was a little bit wider once in awhile it gets tipped over,I put it up against something and it works better.

I love the look! My kitten loves to use it too! I placed right in front of a window so she can perch and she took to it fast.

Sure is pretty but my cats have yet to scratch it so not sure about how well it serves its purpose.
