I have had my Classic Joe with the Divide & Conquer cooking rack for a few years now. I have to say it’s the most versatile accessory you can get. My favorite use is with one rack set low, and one high and a heat deflector under the high rack. This set up is the BEST way to sear and cook a steak to perfection. The low side allows for a perfect sear with temps 600+. 1-2 mins on each side and then transfer to the high side with the deflector to allow the steak to cook to a perfect medium rare. Since using this approach, I haven’t gone out for a steak and it’s been years.

Bought from “go” with my big Joe. An absolutely must. Multiple Heat zones and large quantities of food with this are a breeze. Set up a water pan when smoking or a sear zone when finishing steaks Easy to add or subtract cooking levels on the fly and a critical piece when smoking with slow rolller

I bout a Series 3 divide and conquer rack, extra 'X' rack and an additional set of heat diffusers for my Big Joe Series 1. The rack fits perfectly in the S1 and allows me to easily setup a double indirect cook for those long low and slow cooks. This setup gives fantastic results.

My Big Joe III came with the Divide & Conquer cooking rack system and it is so helpful in setting up cooking of multiple items at the same time. This is a must have accessory for those cooks that have a lot going on.

If you want to cook the perfect steak every time, the divide and conquer reverse sear method will never let you down. Cook at 350 Fahrenheit until about 100 degrees on the top rack, remove steak, let grill get 450+ degrees, and then sear on the lower rack letting the flame give your steak some good crust.
