The Michael Aram Pomegranate collection takes its inspiration from one of the most universal and ancient symbols in the world. The fruit has been prized across the globe, across cultures, and across time as a representation of life, rebirth, and renewal as well as fertility and union. I grew up around Pomegranate-from their use as natural dyes on the antique rugs I used to crawl on as a baby to an integral ingredient in the food that I love. When I'm at my home in New Delhi, I wake each morning to the taste of fresh-squeezed Pomegranate juice. The color, the smell, and the delicate flavor all make it feel like a magical elixir to me.

An elemental animal form with subtle layers of pattern and decoration finished with a soft satin matte glaze. This hot dog starts its journey in our Soho pottery studio where Jonathan and his team sculpt the original model in clay. The prototype is then sent to our workshop in Peru where skilled artisans produce each menorah in high-fired stoneware. Unexpected and original.

Chanukah was over for this season before I placed my order, so I have not used my menorah yet. However, I did take it out of the box and found that it is as beautiful as its picture suggested. Our Coluna Kiddush Cup is for people who love modern design, and tradition. Crafted from Italian Carrara marble and stainless steel, our kiddush cup was designed to be passed from generation to generation, bringing light and joy to Shabbat and holidays. We obsessed over every detail, from determining the correct volume of the cup (derived from the shulchan aruch, which specifies that a kiddush cup must hold at least a revi'It - 3-5 ounces - ours is over 6), to the precise diameter of the plate beneath, so no wine spills on the table.

Michael's fascination with a particular type of ginkgo tree, the Ginkgo Biloba, or "Butterfly Ginkgo," which grows with a double leaf reminiscent of a butterfly's wings, gave rise to a fantasia image of the plant. Executed at the highest level of handcraftsmanship, each piece is rendered in solid brass with hand-etched cocoon-shaped vessels. The pieces in the collection are a tour de force of the handcrafted process, capturing the poetic spirit that is so deeply indicative of Michael's work.

The Tree of Life collection takes its inspiration from the imagery that floats around classic storytelling. Whether the objects are seen individually or grouped together, they evoke a sense of charm and fantasy. Drawing profoundly from Michael's background as a sculptor, each piece emerges from hand-sculpted clay and offers a child-like quality with an inherent depth of meaning. There is such power in narrative images for me. There is a feeling that we're creating an entire imaginary world, building designs around interactive themes that are familiar to all of us. The shapes are obvious and immediate and, at the same time, the impressionistic and lyrical way a small child might imagine the scenes in a story he's being told. The image of the Tree of Life is one of my favorites. It is an idea that is so widely expressed in all cultures and by all religions that it becomes a universal symbol of hope.

Frank Lloyd Wright was an American architect, designer, writer, and educator. He designed more than 1,000 structures in a lifetime and played a vital role in the architectural movements of the twentieth century. The Beth Sholom synagogue is Wright's only synagogue among a relatively small number of religious Commissions and still has an active congregation. Its power as a building stemmed from the fruitful collaboration between Wright and the congregation rabbi, Mortimer J. Cohen, and is symbolically and liturgically grounded in Judaic tradition. The synagogue glass pyramid is an unforgettable presence in the suburban Philadelphia landscape, day and night. The synagogue is open for tours. Beth Sholom was listed as a national historic landmark in 2007. A portion of Sholom's royalties from the sale of Beth Sholom merchandise will go directly to support the ongoing preservation of this national treasure.

The Palm collection is inspired by the beauty of a windswept Palm tree and the perfectly imperfect shapes of woven Palm leaves and fallen fronds. The warm antique gold finish and the intricate sculpted textures exude comfortable luxury and graciousness. "I was having lunch with friends on a veranda overlooking the sea when I looked down to the lawn and saw a fallen Palm frond. The leaves were all twisted and curled, yet they stood out magnificently against the otherwise perfect landscape. It made me think of the passage of time, and the bountiful gifts of the Palm tree, which provides everything from food to shelter."

Celebrate the eight-day festival of Hanukkah with this 2004 addition to our line. Powerful in its simplicity and gracefully poised, the consists of a gentle arch supported by a flared, double-skirted base, the same motif echoed on other Nambé pieces. Holes in the arch hold the traditional nine candles, each 3/8-inch in diameter, one for each night plus the shamash for lighting the others.
