This is a beautiful piece but there things for you to know. The weight is not in the metal part. It's in the stone top with is very heavy. The stone has no way of attaching to the metal part and if you have rambunctious kids or dogs this console could tip over causing injury to animals , children, and adults nearby. It arrived in perfect shape in spite of the box being in pieces! Love the table except I thought surely the stone would be the same thickness as the metal pieces of the base.
