This later 19-century antique Chinese sideboard buffet table was retrieved from Inner Mongolia and restored by a skilled craftsman. The painting on three door panels of this sideboard demonstrates the artisans commanding skill of Shui-mo ("water and ink") also loosely termed watercolor or brush painting. With red square frames, three doors are transformed into 3 traditional Chinese mountain & water paintings. The clear lacquer is applied to protect the painting and wood. There are 3 compartments, 2 shelves in each with one removable shelf. Ample storage space as an entertainment center.

Polygonal canted crotch mahogany side cabinet with starburst inlaid top and side doors, the central panel of double doors with concave detail and complementing starburst handle and inlay to the bottom area raised on square cross-section paneled legs.
