I wasn't totally sure about it being metal, but i loved the shape and size for my small nook. it is perfect! the black is a true black an not a gray. it is heavy and looks expensive. my kitchen is under reno...so here is a picture of it set up in my from hall. couldnt wait to see how it looked with the chairs i bought from wayfair.
