I purchased this open box. I think I expected more when it said they went through it, basically, with a fine tooth comb and they did a thorough inspection. First, the white glove delivery persons were very unprofessional. They slipped carrying it in, and it dropped. But with the amount of packaging surrounding it, it didnt break. They couldnt figure out how to stand it up because it was in the box. They were telling me it wouldnt fit and asking me what im going to do since i cant return it. I had to call my husband away from work to direct them how to remove it from the box. Of course its not going to fit if its still in the box. We had to provide them with box cutters as they were not prepared with one, which they blamed on wayfair by not supplying them with the proper equipment. These guys didnt seem to care about what they were doing. I understand good help is hard to find right now.. but one 1 out of the 3 guys were ambitious. We didnt even trust them enough to put the (5) 25lb leaded glass shelves in. They didnt nicely and professionally hand me the brackets, key and paperwork but after they each received a tip -which they were not grateful or thankful for- they rushed out quick though. We provided them with a sodabottled water. A box cutter and a tip for each of them.. tips should be considered little blessings not expectations or something to scoff at. There were little scratches throughout the inside and outside of the cabinet. I would have expected one or two but not four or five. I touched them up with an acrylic paint marker before I thought about taking photos becuase, again, it was an open box. Its mine regardless. I have some medical issues... I really struggled getting the leaded glass shelves into the cabinet. I threw out my shoulder in the process because there isnt enough room with the way the door moves for two people to do it. The light cord comes from the top and runs down the back. There is a little sticker so you can fix it to the back of the cabinet on which side you want it but its flimsy. Kept falling off then I would have to maneuver my arm behind the cabinet to reach for the cord. I just purchased heavy duty velcro pads and applied. Its better now. I was missing a silicone pad that goes on the metal bracket that holds up the glass shelf. I called Howard Miller and they Expedited new brackets to me. The manufacturer is great to work with. It also was really dusty and the inside of the glass door is difficult to clean. I would have regretted this purchase if I paid full price. It has been so much work to get it right. This photo is the final product.
