Love it! Excellent quality and craftsmanship!

First, we ordered only one of these benches for our new mudroom. The bench itself is stunning! However, on the bench seat itself, one of the “base plates” (where the pedestals attach), was the incorrect measurement and prevented us from attaching one of the pedestals. Perigold customer service was fantastic and sent a whole new bench so that we could find pedestals and a bench seat that actually assembled. The new bench arrived and we now had 2 x bench seats and 4 x pedestals to choose from. It was very strange because after unpacking everything and measuring all pedestals, we found they were ALL different heights! (1/8” to 1/4” differences) and NONE were the same height! We found two that were less than 1/16” inch difference in height and when we placed a level on them, they were “almost level” so we decided to use those two. The next thing is that they bolted (perfectly) into ONLY ONE of the bench seats (because as I stated above, one of the bench seats was manufactured wrong). For such a stunning and high quality piece, we were surprised at this issue. We are super pleased with the item itself but giving 3 stars for four reasons: manufacturer lack “quality control”, the inconvenience of having to wait for a 2nd bench, having to re-pack the one that did not work, and having to find and drive to a fedex ship center to return it.
