So, overall, very nice design with sloping arms, size, shape, etc. The "fabric" is a flat, velour, looking material; would not be mistaken with leather in any way. BUT, this is not why I purchased it. Easily cleanable and seemingly durable and holding up well to my two large mutts (this is why I purchased it). Very happy and appreciative that it's made in USA!

We had high hopes for this sofa but sadly everything about this purchase was a disaster! Edgecombe Furniture was AWFUL to deal with. We ordered the sample swatches to choose the fabric that we wanted. We then placed our order and waited (and waited) for the order to arrive. nearly 2 months later - the sofa arrived and the delivery company couldn’t get the sofa inside the house (a story for another time). We opened the packaging and it was the wrong fabric and color. We contacted Wayfair immediately and they were very apologetic and helpful. They said they Edgecombe Furniture would reach out to me for a resolution within 2 days. Those 2 days came and went and nothing…..zero response. I contacted Wayfair again and they spoke to Edgecombe on my behalf and Edgecombe stated that they didn’t get the email but they suddenly found it and they said they would reach out to me. They responded with the following information Hello, Thank you for reaching out regarding your sofa. It does appear that the incorrect fabricitem was receved.. A full replacement would be needed in this case. Thanks, Heather They didn’t take responsibility for the error, they didn’t tell me how to order a replacement, they didn’t offer compensation for their mistake….nothing! I replied with the following This is an unacceptable reply! You failed to 1. manufacture the correct piece of furniture for me 2. Failed to take responsibility for your error 3. Failed to apologize for your mistake 4. failed respond in a timely manner 5. Failed to offer a solution for me. You said a replacement would need to be ordered. You didn’t say how, by whom, and when a replacement would be ordered. 6 Failure to offer a solution and compensation for this mistake. I’ve already waited over a month for the wrong item. Please reply to me asap and address all six bullet points above. The longer this goes unresolved - the more I will demand accountability on your part. They then replied with this nonsense This is still an inappropriate response from you, the manufacturer! Even when I tell you what I expect for an appropriate response - you fail to provide it! Your company had TWO opportunities to make and ship the correct sofa to me. The first being when you received the order and pulled the fabric and started the upholstery process. Surely you have some Quality Control processes in place to ensure you are creating the correct piece of furniture. Then - when the item was ready to be shipped, I would assume (a tall order evidentially) that the item would be checked for accuracy before packaging and shipping the furniture. To add insult to injury - you and your company continue to fail to accept responsibility for your mistake. The closest you have gotten to being responsible is to say “…it is very unfortunate…”. So - you have one more opportunity to make this right. You have the following options Take full responsibility for your company’s error and do everything in your power to make this right - to include a replacement sofa with the correct fabric ( and expedited delivery) and compensation for our time, aggravation, and inconvenience. OR Do nothing or fall short of anything listed above and I will do the following 1. Report you to the Better Business Bureau 2. Report you to the North Carolina State Attorney General’s Office 3. File a reportinvestigation with my bank to initiate a chargeback to your company for the full value of the sofa. There are commerce laws that you are violating and I will have no problem getting money back. 4. Submit highly negative and scathing reviews on Wayfair.com, Yelp, and Google complete with screen shots of your deplorable and incompetent customer service. Finally, I would suggest that you ask your employer for a refresher course on the BASICS of good customer service. If they are unwilling or unable to provide you with the basic skills to do your job - I would highly recommend that you find another line of work or at the minimum a transfer to an area in the company that doesn’t require interaction with a V valuable customer. the company

Spot clean only with water based upholstery shampoo or foam cleaner. Pretest a small inconspicuous area before proceeding. Do not over wet. Do not use solvents to spot clean. Cushion covers should not be removed and laundered. To prevent overall soiling, frequent vacuuming or light brushing with a non-metallic, soft bristle brush to remove dust and grime is recommended. When cleaning a spill, blot immediately to remove spilled material. Evenly clean the entire panel in a seam to seam fashion. Do not clean just the spots or stains. When an overall soiled condition has been reached and professional care is required.
