The hall tree is even more than I expected. Sturdy and made very well. The gold on this is very classy looking also.

Damaged and cheaply made. I was inconvenienced to repack and take to fed ex. Not pleased

Both the original product and replacement products have defects

It was well packaged but the wood on the larger piece somehow got scratched and dented. The screws to attach the top portion to the base fit in 3 of pre drilled holes but the 4th was misaligned and will not allow me to complete securing the 4th screw.

Design is five stars, material is four to five stars, simplicity of assembly is five stars, but execution due to placement of screw holes was maybe two stars. They were misaligned which meant that it took a great deal of work to place the screws in, requiring insertion at an angle rather than flush - flush was impossible due to the misalignment of three out of the four holes on the stand. Sloppy workmanship made what otherwise have been perfect and easy a painful chore. They righted themselves to flush after a lot of work screwing them in and barely managing given the of the metal clad holes. So with a bit more care on manufacturing - five stars. But given what I had to go through due to the lack of quality control on the screw holes - just three.
