have used the basic waiters corkscrew for 10 years and loved it so decided to upgrade to the more expensive one with the woooden handle. The worm does not go into the cork like the basic model. The point is just a little flat and requires a vigorous and strong push to get it into the cork, and upon twisting it then chews the cork into bits. Not pleased with this (more expensive) choice. This stylish pewter flask is an art nouveau bottle shaped with a soft cushion corner shape. Soft corner design with smooth edges. It comes with a black drawstring microfiber bag for protection, this bag is useful after purchase for safekeeping and cleaning.

It is heavier and stronger than spun pewter. When struck gently, it produces a resonant sound.

Designs by Erik Magnussen (1940-2014) are in the collection of design museums around the world, a testament to the quality of his work and the high regard with which the international design community holds him.
