The love of life, family, friends, and good food has inspired COSTA NOVA to create fine stoneware collections that combine quality and design with the best in ceramic craftsmanship. The brand produces innovative and sustainable stoneware, made from the best natural resources in Portugal. We embrace "handmade" and preserve our European heritage in the manufacture of our stoneware collections, bringing to the table and to the home unique and elegant pieces that suit today’s way of living perfectly and are able to last for generations. COSTA NOVA was born in a small Portuguese fishing village near the Atlantic Ocean. Today, carrying Portugal's name and heritage all over the world, COSTA NOVA is present across the five continents, in prestigious department stores and boutiques, hotels, and renowned restaurants. Using the best natural resources in Portugal, COSTA NOVA products are made in a single firing system heated up to 1180 degrees C (2160 degrees F), which creates a unique ceramic body with a special bonding between the clay and the glazed surface. This original formula explains why our stoneware is so durable and resistant to both thermal and mechanical shocks. In addition, our team of designers, technicians, modelers, and craftsmen is constantly developing original shapes, all the way to truly unique, designed, and handcrafted pieces. COSTA NOVA sees its products and operations as part of a long-life cycle and is committed to taking better care of the community and of the world. The effort to go green and to minimize our impact on the environment is always a work in progress. As producers, we commit ourselves daily to protecting the environment, avoiding unnecessary harm through the resources we use and the products we manufacture.
I returned this because I thought it was larger. The quality is very nice but it was too small for where I wanted it.. Valerie. Bend, OR. Sun Jul 19 2026
