This spoon is beautiful and wonderful quality, but I thought that I was ordering a smaller serving spoon(my Reed and Barton set of stainless steel flatware came with a hostess set of serving spoons(the solid spoon, the pierced serving spoon(which I accidentally threw away), and a serving fork(these pieces are about 8.5 inches long). The spoon I received is the huge buffet pierced spoon. I am afraid to order another one, for fear that it will be buffet size. I will just keep this one, although I doubt that I will have any occasion to use it.
