Vagabond House's Octopus pewter stemmed Champagne Flutes take inspiration from a 17th Century Italian tale in which an octopus rings the church bells in order to save a village from marauding pirates. A style mélange, they feature a fierce "Kraken" style octopus lifting a mighty anchor while balancing the delicate glass flute.

The stemmed glasses are stable, sturdy, perfect for the whole family and shared moments overlooking the deep blue sea. Made in France, the piece is fired at very high temperatures producing an exceptional quality glass that is crystal clear and durable. A pressure seam is sometimes visible, which is the mark left by opening the mold in which the glass is pressed. It is a characteristic of traditional French pressed machine glass.

Shorter and broader than Bordeaux glasses, the very generous bowl on this stemware allows the complex aromas of delicate burgundies and pinot noirs to accumulate for the pleasure of the oenophile. Additionally, as a functional and exclusively Vagabond House feature, the bowls on Burgundy glasses are replaceable, allowing beautiful artisan stemware to serve in y home for a lifetime.
