Georg Jensen
Vividly capturing the movement of the sea, this decorative bowl makes a striking centerpiece for a table. The fluid, undulating shape seems to almost hover above its stand with the shiny stainless steel surface capturing the light and reflecting the room in which it is placed. The bowl looks as good empty as it does when filled with fruit or flowers and it makes a thoughtful gift to someone who appreciates great interior style. Henning Koppel was a true pioneer in the world of Scandinavian modernist design with the perfect representation of both form and function in his work. His long-term collaboration with Georg Jensen resulted in some truly iconic pieces and his legacy lives on today as new collections are created reflecting his distinctive style.

The gentle curves of the mirror bowl were initially inspired by the natural forms of cherry blossom petals. Translated into stainless steel, these become a bowl of deceptive simplicity where the sculptural form and dazzling surface require no extra embellishment. The dish makes a striking table centerpiece or can be used to hold fruit or bread. Helle Damkjær’s travels to Japan lead to her designing the series of bowls, dishes, and spoons for Georg Jensen. The results are a winning combination of natural shapes, Scandinavian minimalism, and superb craftsmanship. The mirrored bowl is created from stainless steel with a high shine polished finish.

As if the surface of a liquid had been turned to steel, the Cobra bowl’s curves and undulations seem to constantly change depending on the viewpoint and the light. The highly polished stainless steel surface reflects the surroundings, mesmerizing the eye even more. Empty, the bowl is a beautiful centerpiece to a table but there is practicality too - the bowl can hold small snacks or treats and the shape makes it easy to pick up and carry. Designer Constantin Wortmann’s work follows natural flowing shapes and sensuous curves. Believing that design should create a reaction in the user and should not be taken too seriously leads Wortmann to make quirky and very popular pieces, the Georg Jensen Cobra collection being a particularly strong example.
Capturing a sense of fluid movement, this small organically shaped stainless steel serving bowl creates an interesting and stylish way to present small snacks or candies. Used alone or grouped with other matching bowls of different sizes, it adds a touch of contemporary attitude to a dinner party. Designed by German-born Constantin Wortmann, Georg Jensen’s iconic Cobra tableware collection is one of the company’s most recognizable and popular. Sculptural and playful, Wortmann’s pieces challenge our expectations whilst never losing sight of functionality.
The popular Bloom mirror bowl takes its inspiration from cherry blossoms in full bloom. The delicate and soft contours of the flowers informed the designer Helle Damkjær as she created a now-classic bowl, that is perfectly suited for presenting delicious fruits. The Bloom bowl can easily be used as a decorative element in itself, on your table or a shelf.

With the signature grooves of signed Bernadotte work radiating out across its surface, this beautifully crafted deep decorative bowl has a sculptural quality that is contemporary. Fill with fruit or flowers or leave empty as a striking centerpiece to the table. Sigvard Bernadotte was one of Georg Jensen's earliest and most influential design collaborators. His classic silver pieces now inspire this collection, with details being transferred to stainless steel to reach a whole new audience. This deep bowl is expertly made from stainless steel with a mirror polish that highlights the ridged texture.
Georg Jensen’s Indulgence collection aims to take some of life’s biggest treats and elevate them with an unbridled sense of luxury. The Indulgence strawberry bowl is a stylish and beautiful way to serve one of nature’s tastiest summer fruits - perhaps to accompany a glass of champagne or as part of an afternoon tea party. The flowing form of the steel dish also works as a table centerpiece or a conversation piece as part of a dinner setting. Designer Helle Damkjær creates pieces that draw on the history of Scandinavian minimalism but at the same time have a strong personality and sculptural identity. Unsurprisingly, her work can be found in art and design museums across the world. The undulating shape of the strawberry bowl is made from stainless steel which is then given a mirror polish to create a shiny surface that adds to the effect of movement.

One of Georg Jensen’s most notable collaborators, Henning Koppel typifies Scandinavian design. Sharing bread is not only a delicious part of many a meal but it also has a strong cultural and social significance as the focus of family and friends coming together to eat. Give it the respect it deserves by serving it beautifully in this decorative metal breadbasket. Intricately made from twisted stainless steel wire, the bowl references the form of a traditional basket but in a totally contemporary way. It is sure to be a talking point at any dinner party or casual gathering. Argentinian-born Alfredo Häberli believes that creating enjoyment is one of the important functions of the design process. Inspired by the iconic work of Sigvard Bernadotte, the Georg Jensen design team created this elegant dish on a stand. Bernadotte’s distinctive fluting now appears radiating across the dish whilst the stand itself is taken from one of his original candlestick designs. It works beautifully as a centerpiece on a table, perhaps holding fruit or bread. Born into the Swedish royal family, Sigvard Bernadotte was one of Georg Jensen’s earliest collaborators. His love of both sophisticated aesthetics and rigorous functionality makes him a key figure in the history of Scandinavian design and his Bernadotte collection has proved timeless. Masterfully crafted in stainless steel, the dish has a bright mirror-polished surface that accentuates the elegant fluted surface.
