The quality of the dishes is superb, and the design if formal enough for special occasions, but not fussy. The color is off-white, and can be mixed and matched with other sets of dishes. I like mixing these with my cream bone china with gold accents, it gives an elegant and modern effect. By mixing them together, I cut down on the amount of dishes I have to hand wash, and the table still looks lovely.
