One of the mugs has a black dot inside of it that cannot be removed.

These are GREAT ! You can sit with a friend and drink tea for a while and have good conversation before you have to fill them back up. They hold more than your usual tea cup. Even though they are bigger than usual they are beautiful and the size doesn’t take away from the balance. If a cup is too large you can’t just hold it with your finger but these cups you can that is what I mean by balance.
