• Care instructions: Our glasses are dishwasher safe. We recommend that you wash your wine and water glasses on the top rack of the dishwasher ensuring that there is space between each glass to avoid scratching of any kind. Make sure that you are using the proper detergents for your own machine and, where relevant, water softening agents. We recommend using finish products. We would also recommend that prior to putting your glasses in the dishwasher, you clean the filter to avoid any unforeseen breakages caused by debris. Occasionally, intense dishwasher steam and heat can cause any crystal to become more fragile. If this is the case, we would recommend waiting a couple of minutes until the dishwasher has cooled down before removing glasses to avoid breakages due to a quick change of temperature. If you cannot wash your glasses in a dishwasher, you can wash these by hand. However, due to the delicate nature of the glasses, we wouldn't recommend washing your glasses in this way. We suggest simply running the glasses under warm water with a little detergent and then placing them gently on linen to drain before polishing. Whilst washing the glasses, please be careful not to let the glasses touch the edge of the sink, jewellery or other washing up items as this can lead to chips in the glass, or even breakages. Never dry your glasses upside down on a metal rack, as this can chip the rims. Normally your dishwasher should steam and dry your glasses so they come out ready to use. However, if your glasses require further polishing, it is important to avoid holding the glass by their foot with one hand whilst polishing the bowl with the other. We recommend using our Richard Brendon lint-free polishing cloth to polish all glasses: it is larger than an average polishing cloth, which means that when polishing you never need to touch the glass. This reduces fingerprints and marks. The products in this collection are made with lead-free glass, making them resistant to clouding. However, if you do notice clouding on your glass, then you will need to wash with a water-softening, glass-specific detergent. Alternatively, soaking for 24 hours in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and warm water will remove stubborn marks.
