Before my critique, I want to say these are handsome plates with a very nice balance between design and simple presentation. They "ring" like nice porcelain, too. They're white without being too bright. So, what's my issue? The printing on the back on my recent (Sept 2014) order is smudged like they were factory seconds. I already own a set of these plates so I have basis for comparison. At first glance, the quality of printing on the back made me think they were knock-offs. But no, they "ring" identically to my first set and are physically the same and were shipped via Lenox directly (says the Wayfair rep). It's embarrassing that Lenox would let these out of the factory as 1st quality...that's not the way to state they're proudly made in the USA (which apparently they are).

This is a replacement piece that looks VERY, VERY SIMILAR to our original. It is slightly heavier and the insignia in the back is different.
