Arrived in poor condition. They appeared dirty and poorly cared for. Missed my return window because I was out of town. Incredibly disappointing how bad this set looks compared to all my other sets from the same brand. Difficult to photograph, but dark black markings in the engravings.

These visually match our original Melon Bud pieces from 20 years ago with two differences. The first and more important difference is that original sets were 188, and these are 1810. The second and barely discernible difference is while the length of the knife is the same, it has a very slightly different curvature. No one would ever be able to notice these differences on your table (it’s tough to see even with two knives in hand looking for the difference) and the pieces still feel nice in hand, which was the original appeal. Even side by side the knives are not too different. In the photos, the originals are on the left, the replacements on the right.

We registered for Melon Bud flatware when we married. I was thrilled to see this set still available 25 years later. The pieces are frosted, which is different than our original set, but I don't mind using both sets together when we entertain. Beautiful flatware!
