This was supposed to be 18x18 inches and was 15x16. very disappointed and it was too small for what i needed.

The board came damaged with a crack running halfway thru the board. There was also a nail sticking out the side. It also had a strange smell to it so I would be very hesitant to put food on it for fear it would alter the foods taste. This was purchased as a gift.

I ordered this board and it came with a terrible smoke smell! I asked for a replacement. I just got it and it also has this horrific smokey smell that takes over the house and stays on your hands after touching it. I don't feel comfortable serving food on it. I'm very disappointed!! I tried to wipe it down with a sea salt and lime spray. Unfortunately it still smells.

Better than described. Love the detail and love edge look.

Although this is a lovely cheese board, the finish on it is very poor. The wood is tight grain (no voids), it is sanded fairly smooth and the bark is intact. However, this wood needs much more mineral oil than was applied in the manufacturing process. So if you buy this, be sure to apply several coats of food-grade mineral oil before you use it. Otherwise, it can be easily stained by colorful foods such as grapes and red bell peppers. Don't ask me how I know this...
