I have a set of Laguiole steak knives and these butter knives are the same excellent quality. Full tang (the metal runs all the way through from the tip of the blade to the base of the handle.) Beautiful detail in the metal with a small bee and vines engraved on the top. Nice heavy weight to them. Even though this set is made in China (Laguiole is the name of a French town, so the design and name are not trademark protected), the quality is high. Not sure what kind of wood the handles are made of, but I think it might be olive wood. Extremely happy with these butter knives/speaders and plan to purchase more. Would make a great hostess gift. Highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful butter knife set, perfect for entertaining and comes in a lovely box. Languiole always sets the bar high with its products and these do not fail on those expectations. Each knife has a good weight and I can't wait to use at our next dinner party!

I have a set of Laguoile silverware and have been looking for additional pieces. I wanted the classic wood handles to match my set and am happy to have found these butter spreader knives. The French Home connoisseur butter knife set is just beautiful. The spreaders have the classic natural olive wood handles which are hard to find and the lovely bee emblem that I love. They are otherwise stainless steel with the steel rivets showing through the handles. These knives will make a great addition to my holiday table. The knives came with a really nice storage box which makes me think I may get an additional set for a hostess gift. I would be very happy to get this and I’m sure my hostess will be as well. One thing to mention is that these should be hand washed. I hand wash my existing set and will do so for these as well. Dishwashers are too hard on the wood and the drying just dries the wood out. The price Wayfair is charging for these is very reasonable. Laguoile pieces are expensive and hard to find and these are very well priced, especially with the lovely wood storage case included. I am giving them a five star rating.

These knives are beautiful! I was looking for something to add to my holiday tableware collection and these ticked all the boxes. They shipped quickly and arrived promptly. I love the black wooden storage box that they came in. The handles are solid and have some weight to them and I am 100 pleased with this item.
