I was excited when I ordered this as it would have been perfect in our living room. But, when I received it, the square piece that surrounds the clock looked totally different than the picture. In the picture it reminds me of a leopard or a tortoise shell background with the darker crystals. When I received it, the background was a gold color and the crystals were clear. The wood outer ring is divided into four sections, divided by four wrought iron lines in the 3, 6, 9, and 12 positions. Dial design: The dial includes bar-style hour markers that float in front of the glass mirror and tapered, charcoal-finished hour and minute hands.
