It came in two pieces which I understand. But putting the two halves together was difficult because they didn’t fit neatly. Had to use a rubber mallet to pound them together and make them flush to get the screws in place. A couple times f the joints never did fit squarely and tightly. I love this clock! It has 2 ways to play the chimes and both are nice. It’s only a matter of preference and can easily be switched back and forth.
