There was no packaging to secure the print in the box, so the picture arrived with broken glass (spilling out on the floor), damaged frame and damaged print. Karin Bos is an Amsterdam-based artist primarily focused on people and our interaction with our surroundings. In the Netherlands infrastructure and urbanization are so widely present that it is difficult for her to find landscapes she can use as a source for her work. All dutch 'nature' is planned, organized, and designed. To develop her new series of work Karin needed more varied source material. Therefore, she has done several artist-in-residencies in Spain, Latvia, Iceland, etc. These landscapes and atmosphere have become a huge source of inspiration for her artistic work. Jeff Schaub was born in New York in January 1965. His art career started at the tender age of 5 when he astonished his teacher by drawing a three-dimensional figure. By age 8, Schaub was creating replicas of everything he could find using any available surface for his canvas. Studying the works of the great masters in his local library, National Geographic, and Encyclopedia Britannica, he learned their techniques, which was his greatest joy. My fault for not reading the description, but when I searched Wayfair I searched for oil reproduction painting, and this is a print, not a painting. It looks like something someone printed at home and made by crafting, not at all something I would want to stare at our have on my wall, very cheap looking. 6 years ago I purchased some oil reproductions from Wayfair that were actual oil reproductions at great savings compared to other websites, unfortunately it seems they no longer get those products. Returning this asap, will gladly pay 2X the Wayfair price for this painting in actual oils, and a better hand selected frame. This print insults the original work any eyes laid upon it.. Anonymous. Artist Commentary: A young girl on a rope swing is set against a blue sky and great, big, puffy clouds, clearly enjoying the moment as she swings ever higher. This painting represents my own personal quest to avoid any more COVID-19 related paintings. Instead, I wanted to do something bright, something fun, something that brought back memories of when I was a kid. A rope swing seemed like a natural fit and I decided it would be cooler not to have any frame of reference for the swing - just the girl and the swing, set against the sky.
