Audo Copenhagen
Rooted in a unique design philosophy, Interconnect demonstrates designer Colin King’s and Audo’s commitment to innovation and creativity, pushing the boundaries of conventional candle holder design. Visually calming yet unexpectedly playful thanks to its geometric form that balances contrasting shapes, the design is both a source of cozy candlelight and a streamlined sculpture in its own right. In bronzed brass, black powder-coated metal, or polished steel, it takes on a range of expressions, becoming only more beautiful with time and use.

The Clip wall candle holder from Audo Copenhagen sets a homey vibe with an architectural silhouette made up of medieval-inspired motifs. This holder provides practicality with a long linear framework that mounts atop the slimmest architectural columns. The open framework flows upward in a tight curve evocative of a paper clip. The candle’s wax drippings catch elegantly inside the low-profile bobeche dish. This holder’s blend of modern and traditional features resonates across home styles.

Taking its name from the Latin word for “extend,” the Duca candle holder does exactly that: by loosening the screw on its slender stem, the height of the design can be adjusted as the candle burns. Cast detailed with rattan enfolded around its lower half, the simple yet impactful design brings a sense of intimacy and warmth to its surroundings. A small screw on the side of the design allows the user to adjust the height – extending or shortening the telescopic stick to the desired effect.
These are new favorite addition to my house decor. They are so stunning yet understated.!!!. Michele. Scottsdale, AZ. 2019-12-19 19:04:56
The Flambeau wall candle holder from Audo Copenhagen, is a spirited piece, amplifying the flame in shape and warmth. Kroyer-Saetter-Lassen designed the piece with the French modernist lamping in mind. Their work zeroes in on the properties of materials and their construction. The holder starts out with a hidden mounting plate that one can easily arrange in tight spaces. A slender arm comes forward to hold the wax candle as a refined gesture. The flickering flame on the candle reiterates its outline with this holder’s abstract backplate. The rounded backplate uses its sweeping surface to receive the holden hue of one’s moody candle.

The Clip handle holder from Audo Copenhagen keeps one’s mood-setting candles in place with grace and efficiency. Purposeful details, human needs, and great materials drive the work of studio Audo Copenhagen, space. The studio evokes the practical curves of a paper clip with this holder’s low-profile linear structure. The bobeche disc nestled inside draws inspiration from the traditional motifs of the medieval candle holder. This pleasant disc curve keeps the table tidy by holding excess wax.
Base only, candle holder sold separately. The base was designed in 2009 as an accessory for Kubus and Line to protect surfaces from dripping candle wax. Base beautifully frames the candleholders and emphasizes the simple design of both Kubus and Line. The base has been designed with the greatest respect for the architect Mogens Lassen and both as an architect and as a designer.

With a sharp sense of contemporary Functionalist style, Mogens Lassen designed the iconic Kubus candleholder in 1962, a piece once reserved solely for family and close architect colleagues. The Kubus is still crafted in Denmark, and among architects and design connoisseurs it has acheived the status of a modern international design icon. The story about Kubus 1: Architect Mogens Lassen was commissioned to design the interior for a restaurant in North Zealand, Denmark, and it was within the context of this assignment that the Kubus 1 was born. The square-shaped Kubus 1 gathered people around the table just as Mogens intended, and its characteristic shape and simple light created an atmosphere of coziness throughout the entire restaurant. The Kubus 1 still decorates tables in the very same restaurant, because good design lives on for generations.

With a sharp sense of contemporary Functionalist style, Mogens Lassen designed the iconic Kubus candleholder in 1962, a piece once reserved solely for family and close architect colleagues. In 1983 he reapproached his own geometric candleholders, and the result was Line, whose shape was conceived through a mathematical formula. The two candleholders form a single line, and the architectural look fits perfectly with contemporary minimalism. Kubus and Line is still crafted in Denmark, and among architects and design connoisseurs it has achieved the status of a modern international design icon.
