Love it! Very handsome pieces.

These are a great size if using on a tabletop or furniture surface. They're a bit small to use on the floor but they do work pretty good as door stoppers. I decided to use mine on my front porch placed on each side of my front door for protection against bad spirits or unsavory visitors. They seem to be holding up okay in the heat and rain. They're not particularly heavy but they don't move in wind or anything like that. They also have a bit more of a mustard yellow colored detailing than the images show. They're brown with mostly yellowish gold or "mustard" colored highlights. So if you are wanting solid brown or oil rubbed bronze you may need to paint them. Overall I think they're decent for the price.

They are exactly what you see in the picture. Packaging was top notch. The weathered look on them are very well done. Without picking them up, one would not know that they are resin! We love them!

I bought these guardian Foo dogs to "guard" my entry way. There is a right way and a wrong way to position your pair. When you’re facing a pair of foo dogs, the most auspicious placement according to feng shui is with the female (with cub) on the left, and the male (with ball) on the right.as you look in.In China, where foo dogs originated, they are called shi, meaning “lion,” or shishi, meaning “stone lion. Foo dogs are symbolic, protective statues, and they are designed in pairs — one is female, the other is male. The female represents yin, and symbolically protects the people dwelling inside the home, while the male statue, representing yang, protects the structure itself. You can tell which foo dog is which by examining what’s beneath the paws: the male dog holds a ball; the female dog holds a puppy. The ball may represent the world, and the puppy may represent nature, or a nurturing spirit. If one of your foo dogs has an open mouth, and the other has a closed one, this may represent the in-and-out breath, or the sound “om.” I am going to elevate mine on small bricks. They would also be great as decorative book-ends. Made of resin in gold tones.
