This original design from Ghanaian artisan Abdul Aziz Mohamadu is named Adana, which means 'father's daughter' in the Igbo language of Nigeria. The artisan carves the mask by hand from sese wood, an African hardwood, and embellishes it with embossed aluminum plates and paint in red and mustard shades.
