Buddha is seated on a lotus flower, his hand raised in the Vitarka Mudra, a gesture of teaching and discussion. The round wood relief panel is hand-carved from suar wood by Balinese artisan Eka, who carries on the carving legacy of her late husband, Putra Suteja.
