Artist Commentary: Often when I am working on a seascape or landscape series I will take a break and paint something totally different than what I'm painting in a series. Such was the case when I saw this blue bowl filled with tangerines on the counter in a friend's kitchen. I knew it was exactly what I wanted to paint and so after taking many photos I found the perfect composition and that's how 'Tangerines In Blue Bowl' came to be.
