Artist Commentary: Kiss is part of a digital painting style that I developed in order to capture the essence of the relationship between humanity and technology. I was originally also inspired by the novel 1984, appropriation art and minimalist works. The actual method I use to create the works is to first create the tools on the computer. The application of photos and original digital tools mimic the human/technology overlap. This specific painting "Kiss" includes an image of Marilyn Monroe within the distortions.
