Emma McCartney was born in the foothills of California, in a small town called Tuolumne near Yosemite National Park. She studied textile design and oil painting at a local community college and at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. To Emma, art is a profound means of communication, expression, and connection. Drawing inspiration primarily from nature and emotion, she explores various mediums, with a particular affinity for oil, acrylic, and watercolor.
