It's a beautiful clock but it does not have a front glass panel to protect the mechanism.

I'm happy with the clock. In my opinion, it looks just as classy in person as it does in the pictures. For me, the only downside is the price. The clock costs more than I think it should, but I was willing to pay to get the look I wanted.
