I bought this “open box,” so yes, it was less expensive. However, to me, “open box” simply means that someone else returned the item, not “open the box and see what you get because it’s going to be a surprise!” So, the 3 poles are all exactly the same size in diameter, so I don’t know how I’m expected to put two of them together, since I only need two per what I ordered versus how long they actually are. That is, unless I find someone with a tool who can pinch the end of one, which would be ridiculous. Also there is no end hardware, and the finials are missing. Worst purchase ever from Wayfair!

I am very happy with this curtain rod. It is really pretty, nice quality, and it was easy to install. We did use different wall anchors because the anchors provided were quite small for such a large rod. Otherwise, I would recommend and will probably purchase another one for our bedroom.
