Artist Sam Nash was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He became interested in art in early childhood. He attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh ostensibly to learn about commercial art, though his heart has always been in fine arts. He works mainly in traditional mediums: oil, watercolor, pencil, and pen-and-ink.
