Maria gets a new look. For the first time in its more than 100-year history, Rosenthal's successful collection is now available in a contemporary version called "Maria en Vogue" with colored glazes. The delicate pastel colors emphasize the romantic vintage touch of the shape. The triumph of the "Maria" shape began in 1916. The service was named after the wife of the company founder Philipp Rosenthal, who married 35-year-younger Maria in 1916. "Maria" stands for porcelain history and table culture. Presumably created as a replica of a silver tea service, this polygonal dinnerware shape with the characteristic edge relief in the form of a fruit garland became the most extensive Rosenthal service. In 1939, there were already more than 170 different items, from bone dishes to knife banks and decorative corks. Even today, more than 70 different individual pieces are available. Some love stories are so beautiful that they are hard to believe. Like the one between Philipp Rosenthal and his wife Maria. It so happens that the privy councilor was so infatuated with her that he quickly named a porcelain set after her – without knowing that it would one day become a best-seller, selling millions of copies. To this day Maria remains one of the most extensive tableware collections with around 100 pieces. Its classic form and the elegant fruit relief around the rim make it a stand-out collection. "Maria" is a classic service that has already become a legend. For generations, it was the porcelain of choice at weddings and other celebrations. The model for its characteristic shape was a silver teapot dating back to around 1815, which company founder Philipp Rosenthal brought back from England and had remade in porcelain in honor of his wife, the French Countess Maria de Bourges. Timelessly beautiful and gracious - the Rosenthal classic Maria from 1916 is still a dazzling style icon in 2023. Dream Blue draws on influences from fashion and the elegant interiors of the past and highlights the famous relief of pomegranates and olive branches for a stylish mix of colors.

The design for Fleurs Sauvages draws on the sensations of blooming flowers, the humming of insects, delicate leaves, and cool grass to give the overall impression of a walk in a summer paradise. Inspired by the glorious harmony of the different plants in a flower meadow, Swiss textile designer Regula Stüdli came up with an arrangement of wildflowers and intricate twigs, scattered haphazardly and in striking contrast to the green leaves and white blossoms.

Woven patterns are the eye-catchers of the new Rosenthal Kumi line. Inspired by artisanal handcrafting—such as producing baskets, leather handbags, and furniture—Kumi focuses on the delicate look of hand-woven fabrics. The line, consisting of bread and butter plates, breakfast plates, dinner plates, soup plates, cereal bowls, and mugs, is made of silicate porcelain—a material that is resistant to breakage and impact and is also slightly transparent. The very flat rim and the outside of the bowls remain unglazed, accentuating the lively and delicate woven structure.

Swiss textile designer Regula Stüdli takes us on a walk through the lush herb garden. The new floral decor of Grand Air is as light and fresh as a natural experience in the fresh air. As if blown by the wind and combined by nature into a multicolored flower ensemble, spicy herbs, and edible blossoms arranged in small bunches, scattered loosely or arranged in circles to form ornaments, float freely over the Brillance form and merge with it to form a sensual whole. The almost transparent porcelain body underlines the elegance and lightness of the graceful floral decor. Fragrant herbs such as rosemary, thyme, and lavender, bright meadow flowers such as nasturtium and marigold combined with the filigree beauty of cosmea, come together with other edible wildflowers such as cornflower, pansies, and daisies in the picturesque flowerbed. Slightly poisonous flowers used as medicines glow a delicate pink. Service plates and bread plates in soft sage green provide freshness and tranquillity and contrast with the white bone china. Grand Air is a delightful play with nature and a feast for all the senses.

Inspired by the opera of the same name by Giacomo Puccini, the Turandot decor is an homage to the 18th-century chinoiseries, which already played an important role in the Rosenthal designs of the late 19th century. A lavish farandole of peony blossoms, bamboo, and ginkgo leaves in delicate colors meets golden dragonflies. The background for the poetic porcelain paintings is a white or dark blue background framed by a narrow gold rim. Gianni Cinti tells us that he had the idea for the complex decoration when he remembered a visit to the shore of West Lake in Hangzhou, China. The interweaving of Western and Eastern elements is emphasized by the extension of the collection to include elements of classical Chinese food culture such as rice and soup bowls, porcelain spoons, chopstick holders, and tea caddies.

The Triu vases, which are made up of three slimline, U-shaped arms, seem at first glance like intertwined metal tubes. But in reality, the skilfully connected objects, which are available in gold, silver, copper and clear, make a dazzling impact thanks to robust borosilicate and a delicate titanium coating.

"Paper bag vase": Design by Tapio Wirkkala. With the paper bag vase dated 1972, Tapio Wirkkala turns the pop art culture that set the tone at the time into a subject of irony. He succeeded, tongue in cheek, in creating an object that not only became a Rosenthal classic but has also been produced unaltered now for all these years.

TAC 02 was created from Walter Gropius' unedited original designs. Purist design, based on simple geometric shapes, lends "TAC" a timeless poetry. Delicate ornamentation and stark black and white contrasts on the finest, slightly translucent porcelain emphasize the outstanding design features of this icon of Bauhaus design. TAC 02 offers a dinnerware, stemware, and tea service collection. The TAC collection, which was created in 1969 and named after Gropius Boston office 'The Architects Collaborative', is one of the most successful porcelain series in the world. Its minimalist design, the use of simple hemispheres for both pot and cups, and the playfulness of triangle and square shapes all remain true to Bauhaus tradition.

Fascinated by materials’ plasticity and limits of deformability, French designer Cédric Rag ot designed two new vase series. Squall and Blown take up the idea of capturing and freezing the entire dynamics of a movement. Squall and Blown are reminiscent of a whirlwind or vortex, whose elemental force is cast and immortalized in porcelain, creating extraordinary design objects with considerable charisma.

The vase symbolizes the experience of changes in life for the artist Dror Benshertrit who works in America. Accordingly, his development of the "Vases of Phases" has progressed through several stages of creation on its way to completion. The basis is a feminine-shaped vase that enters into an experimental phase when it is shattered, as is the artist’s intention. It then becomes rougher, seductive, sharp, and enticing. These changes are visualized on the "shattered" object by smudged cracks and smoothed-out folds. The "Vase of Phase" is thus awarded a new type of beauty showing traces of the three phases it has passed through. The 'Vase of Phases" is available in black or white. In order to appreciate Dror Benshetrit’s work, one must see through the logic and the thought process behind his style. He dedicates himself mainly to innovations that arise from the use of new materials, techniques, and shapes, whereby he also works with the origins of movement at the same time.

Minimalist, simple, or even normal – these are probably the words that first spring to mind when design enthusiasts hear the name Jasper Morrison. And this is definitely meant as a compliment. "Design isn’t a demonstration of the unusual. Only one thing matters: it must work", stated Morrison, summarising his notion of design. Moon implements this idea in a congenial manner. This clear and uncomplicated use of shape works on any dinner table, making the Moon dinner service extremely versatile.
