Ngala Trading Co.

In 2013 Ngala Trading Co. opened it's first interior design and home furnishing business out of small store in Johannesburg, South Africa. Becoming popular for blending modern American staples with an African twist, think plaid and zebra. In no time, clients referred their friends to “those American boys.” Last year Ngala Trading Co. relocated to Manhattan and opened a showroom stocked with favourite lighting, furniture and décor from the same family-owned suppliers whose hand-made products stocked our shelves overseas.

Bringing the artistry of indigenous African design to consumers. Ngala Trading Co. collaborates with artisans across Africa to produce handcrafted furnishings. The designs incorporate richly textured African materials that are sustainably sourced.
