I wouldn’t say these put out a ton of light but they’re a nice accent with my recessed lighting. They are an interesting shape and felt they went better with my round mirrors than a straight up bar light. They do make a slight buzzing noise as other reviewers have posted.. Nancy. US. It was difficult to picture this pendant from the pictures online. It seemed like the glass was ribbed, it's not. It's smooth glass in a distorted hexagonal shape. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am sitting in my dining room as I write this review, and even after it being installed for a couple weeks I periodically admire my new pendant light. Our light arrived in a decent amount of time but was extremely well packaged. For a light of this quality (and price!) I am glad care was taken to make sure everything arrived in excellent condition. We hired an electrician to install, but I think after reading the instructions we could have done it ourselves - steps were simple enough to understand. The light is a polished chrome, with natural steel drop down accents and solid bubbled glass reflectors. We have 8 foot ceilings, and this pendant goes directly over our dinner table. The light is surprisingly effective and clearly lights up our entire (7 foot) dinner table. There are some chains to attach to the base, and four sets of extension poles (two 6", two 12"). Our electrician suggested installing the light without the chains and we really like that look. We ended up with one 6", one 12" extension only and are extremely happy with the light (I think I've said that a couple times now!). However, there is one item to mention, which is the "base" of the light is 4 1/4" wide. Our electrician felt this was odd, because most electrical "boxes" are around 4", so there is unfortunately a gap showing on our ceiling that we will need to patch. I honestly forgot about it though until this review, but it is worth noting if you are retrofitting this light to an existing space. I did remove one star because that is an irritant and our electrician is the one who thinks it is odd to have it be that narrow. Overall, I am so happy with this light. My husband did the installation. Provided was instructions that were easy to follow. We placed it over the bar in the basement and I’m so pleased by how it turn out.
